Student Success Stories

In dog ownership, we have accepted the responsibility of being our dog’s leader. That title comes with all the duties being a leader requires: we must teach our dogs manners, including the proper way to play, and the appropriate way to say hello. We must teach our dogs what is acceptable -- and what is not -- in human society. We must help our dogs understand us, and help them understand their role in relation to us and the world around them. And most importantly, we must keep our dogs safe.

This is a big responsibility, and can seem overwhelming, if you don't know where to start. Working with a good dog trainer, either privately or in a group class, will help you to understand how dogs think, why they do what they do, and what we, as their leaders, can do to help keep them safe and happy.

This page is dedicated to just some of the many people who have learned to become excellent leaders with their dogs, by training with Canada's Dog Trainer.
